Hopefully someone can help,
I've tried to emerge links or links2...
only to find a message that says: there are no ebuilds for links...
I've also tried checking the forums, but to no avail...
any suggestions would be much appreciated
thanx in advance

There is a links ebuld. You might need to run "emerge --sync" if your portage tree is out of date. Also try "emerge --search links".

If that doesn't work, then use lynx.

If everybody in gentooland can read this message its because your advice worked. As I am posting this from the command prompt. For some reason I could'nt get emerge links to work yesterday but for some reason after I posted my request for help it seemed to work just fine. Now I can finally get support and work from the linux side of my harddrive (this is a dualboot system with winXP/Gentoo).
thanx
