USE Flags for router/server

Problems with emerge or ebuilds? Have a basic programming question about C, PHP, Perl, BASH or something else?

USE Flags for router/server

router/dhcp server
samba/print server
fax server
basic web server
ftp server
bt server
time server

Are the following USE Flags suitable for a server with the above functions.

-* means don't USE anything?

Err, Yes I think. I am not an expert on the use flags (there is something like 300 of them). We could really do with an expert to comment here.

I believe that you don't need the flags such as "samba" as this is sorted out when you emerge samba. However, the following is simpler and easier to understand if you do include those flags:

Would an expert care to comment. My current system emerged X11 which I didn't need and I was thinking of modifying the use flags (currently blank) to sort this.

If you don't want X11 to be emerged you need to add -X to your USE flags

these are my USE-flags for the server:
