FINALLY! Thank you that horrible grey was killing me! I was thinking of installing Crossover office or something just to not have to see that grey anymore. The .conf file works well, thanks

I'd like to thank you aswell for the .conf, I thought that it was possible to change the way OOo draws it's UI in the Option but there were'nt. always annoyed me since my OOo looked fine with my GTK theme on my debian box. anyways thumbs up to the one that posted the .conf :D
Gentoo 2006.0 + NPTL + 2.6.15-r1-sources + gcc 3.4.4 100% built. glibc 2.3.5.

Bushmann wrote:there's a solution!
create /etc/openoffice/openoffice.conf
and insert:

# force OOo to use theme settings from gnome or KDE or disable?
# set to 'gnome', 'kde' or 'none' to override the autodetection
export OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=gnome
A billion times easier solution! Ximian OpenOffce works just by doing `OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=gnome xooffice&`. Or you could just put that export statement into your .xinitrc ;) Thanks :)
