The page you linked to said that I needed to type

Code: Select all

lappy root # emerge -u gentoo-dev-sources
to update my sources. That didn't work--I'm still stuck on 2.6.10 and I need 2.6.11 to get my laptop screen to work right.

So I tried

Code: Select all

lappy root # emerge -pv gentoo-dev-sources/gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.11-r2.ebuild
but I got the following error:
Calculating dependencies
Traceback (most recent call last):
[...]
File "/usr/lib/python2.3/posixpath.py", line 49, in isabs
return s.startswith('/')
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'startswith'
Anything special I need to do?

Thanks, smasher... it worked. You wouldn't happen to know how to solve this Gnome keyboard riddle, would you?
