acroread changed my cursor in firefox

I emerged acroread, closed firefox, fired it up, and now my mouse cursors are very small, happy, blue, and hard to see...

Anybody have any idea why?

And/or how to put them back, and/or how to change the cursor icons at all? They just seem to change around on me whenever I emerge a new version of Xorg or what have you.

there's 2 ways of setting the cursor that i know

System-wide

Code: Select all

nano -w /usr/share/cursors/xorg-x11/default/index.theme
inherits=<name-of-cursor-theme>

User-specific

Code: Select all

nano -w ~/.Xdefaults
Xcursor.theme: <name-of-cursor-theme>
Xcursor.size: <size>  "i use about 24 with the whiteglass theme"
