Distcc for cross compiling on OS X

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody had any luck with setting up cross compiling on OS X via gentoo? The goal being to use a OS X box to compile packages for other ppc processors on the same network.

This is something that I wanted to start playing with (just need to find some time).

Have a look at :

I tried this:

But unfortunately my gcc version seems to be different than the ones available at http://www.opensource.apple.com/darwins ... lls/other/
Here is my output: gcc version 3.3 20030304 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 1671)
I am running OS 10.3.8, with XCode 1.5

Anyone who was successful with this howto?
