Problems with my Mach64/RageII Ati Graphic Card

Hi,

i have some problems with my (very old) Mach64/RageII Ati Graphic Device. I use a 2.6 kernel and in the Graphic Device section you can choose Ati Mach64 as Graphic Driver. It works without problems, it shows the logo and console works in framebuffer mode without problems.

But now i want to get X started. But X doesnt offer me a driver for this device. If i choose Ati it doesnt work and Rage128 or Radeon are a bit newer ;-)! I even didnt find a driver for my card searching google. What can i do.
I compiled X using another graphic card. A Kyro 2 Chip, but as I recognized that it only works with 2.4 kernels i choosed my older graphic card, because i dont want to play with this computer.

Does anybody know a solution for this problem or has the same graphic device and can tell me how to make X run :D ?

maybe you should try this side, since I dont have this graphics card Im not sure to tell you what to do.Link: http://www.angelfire.com/ca/rchau/top.html
But I read something...It was for the /etc/make.conf
......cant find it anywhere, sorrrrrry....I just know it was something like:
GRAPHICS_CARD="name_of_CARD"
and then emerge......I think it were the MESA drivers..they work fine, but dont provide 3D acceleration, maybe the same thing goes for ATI cards, its worth a try.

Sorry, cant help ya more then that....I hope you get it working soon
