Hi, I was wondering what the differences are between a "freedist" license and an "as-is" license. Also, when a program has a license line equal to its name (xbattle has "xbattle" for a license), does this mean that it has a license entirely unique to that program or simply that the license can and will be found in the program's tarball (implying it could be a lesser-known but still standard license). Thank you in advance.
Thank you very much. I never knew that dir existed. One question though: freedist's license just says "freely distributable". What exactly does this mean? The source code is modifiable? The software can be used commercially? Or just that the package can be redistributed but not with any changes?
