Grub made better?

Can you make grub run at 1024x768 with better quality images and text?

I dont think you can run grub in a diffrent resolution (im quite a nub)
but you can for sure change the BG image.. which is located in boot/grub i think its splash.xpm if im right (not sure about the filename and im in windoze right now)

unpack it and edit it or make a complete new image and save it as the .xpm

I've got a fb setup, and it's all running good, but I'de really like to know if Grub could also be made 1024x768 instead of 640x480

I've looked at the article and it seems to describing howto add extra features to the fb, like progress bars and so on, but nothing about grub execpt at the end...

(I'm installing Beagle too hehe

Gentoo really does rock, it's the easiest to maintain distro and has really good features like USE flags and rc-update!)

GRUB support's only 640x480. There is an idea to make higher resolutions support in Grub2, but now it's impossible.

Damn, I figured as much, but it's good to know people are working on it!? Thanks anyway though
