about your sig, i think the average age of the gentoo developers is 15.. someone said in the irc.
I don't believe this. When I was 15 I used windows, while not having any ambitions to change
anything about the obvious bugs and whatnot.
But I guess even now I'm not ambitious enough to do anything reasonably. :p
its good to see that I'm not the only 15 year old user here
But heck I've been using linux since i was.. (dont remember now ) But I turn 16 in 16 days. Lucky that what a coincidence . Anyway Now that I'm writing thsi I forgot what this topic was/is about. Damn my memory. First my computer memory dies then my head memory.. I hate being sick worse then using windows.
System Specs:
Athlon 64 3200+ Venice Core@2400MHz
MSI K8N Neo4/SLI
Gigabyte Radeon X800 256mb PCIe
2gb Corsair XMS Dual Channel DDR400
250gb Western Digital SATA 3/gb
PZoned, I'm not. Understanding the system and how the operating system works is quite easy. But moving towards more difficult things like playing with MS-DOS and what not is probably hard for some people. I'm sorry. The first time i got a computer with Windows it was very easy doing stuff, installing a program with install-shield, playing with the control panel, getting drivers to work. Just put in the CD-ROM and it automounts. It's not the same way in Gentoo. You have to do it manually and configure yourself. I didn't move to Gentoo with a lot of computer knowledge from Windows. The only thing I learned from when I used Windows was from the internet. I can't see why you think Windows is hard to understand. That's what you're saying, right?

I had recently turned 16 when I started, and now I am 17 and will be 18 this November. It seems that there are a lot of people younger than me on the forums though. heh
