I recently updated my HP workstation (HP9000 735/99) to hppa-sources-2.6.10-p11 as suggested by portage. With the new kernel i cannot get the network interface running (which uses the lasi_82596 driver). I use the standard BNC daughterboard from HP.
The problem looks like being interrupt-related, as I get the following messages with Linux 2.6
and indeed interrupt 17 is occupied, as shown in /proc/interruptsFeb 2 19:14:07 hp LASI 82596 driver - Revision: 1.30

but the strange thing is that with Linux 2.4 (hppa-sources-2.4.26-p4) the distribution of interrupts is completely differentCPU0

I tried the lasi_82596 both built-in and as module, both had no sucess. Can I load the driver using a different IRQ, or is there any other way getting the network interface run?CPU00
