scid development halted?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering what happend to scid http://scid.sourceforge.net/
The page speaks of new version and big plans, but this is almost a year ago.

Frightened of this I looked for an alternate chess-databse and found jose http://jose-chess.sourceforge.net/ but I recongized that there is no ebuild for jose.

Any ideas what happend to scid, or any alternate database programs in mind?
