When I try to emerge xorg-x11 I get an error on:

Code: Select all

>>> emerge (1 of 5) x11-misc/ttmkfdir-3.0.9-r2 to /
The error is:

Code: Select all

>>> Source unpacked.
libtool --mode=compile i686-pc-linux-gnu-g++ -Wall -pedantic -I/usr/include/freetype2  -march=pentium3 -fomit-frame-pointer -o ttmkfdir.o -c ttmkfdir.cpp
libtool --mode=compile i686-pc-linux-gnu-g++ -Wall -pedantic -I/usr/include/freetype2  -march=pentium3 -fomit-frame-pointer -o directory.o -c directory.cpp
libtool: compile: unable to infer tagged configuration
libtool: compile: specify a tag with `--tag'
make: *** [ttmkfdir.o] Error 1
make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
libtool: compile: unable to infer tagged configuration
libtool: compile: specify a tag with `--tag'
make: *** [directory.o] Error 1

!!! ERROR: x11-misc/ttmkfdir-3.0.9-r2 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 44, Exitcode 2
!!! emake failed
Not sure what to do now. I'm off a fresh 2004.3 stage 2 install. Any help greatly appreciated.

emerge libtool.

Or emerge with less agressive optimizations. Or both :D

I just got the same problem on amd64 (with default optimisations) and emerging libtool also "fixed" the problem. Maybe libtool should be added to the prerequisites for the ttmkfdir ebuild?
