We'll give 'em a few more hours (it's only 10.20 AM in Toronto) but after 12.00 Toronto time I'll start looking for some bats in my garage and get myself a return ticket to Toronto/Vancouver/whatever spot they're located
Fellow GNUsers, we are gathered here today, exceptionally, to pray to the Gods, again, for the release of ATI drivers that will satisfy our expectations, maybe.
If you would all be so kind as to get fully naked and sacrifice a goat, we will then be ready to begin.
I leave the next speaker to continue the ceremony.
I wouldn't be very surprised that the driver wouldn't be released today... to be honest i'm actually considering to change back to nvidia again cuz at the moment the nvidia-cards have a better performance anyway...

Please post your first impressions. If it seems stable I might build in my ati card again but it's quite time-consuming because of my special heatpipe tower. So it should be worth the effort.
Damm that's pressure. I had a wrong link from /usr/src/linux to an old kernel version.
Now dri loads fine, but glxgears causes a hard lock up:(
I hope this is not because of AMD-8151 AGP Bridge, which is know to have problems under windoze (K8W with r350 stuff). Someone in the same config?
