Still no ATI 3d Drivers?

I have been away from the community for about two months, but I was under the impression that ATI was supposed to have some 64-bit drivers available by now. Can anyone shed some light on any recent news?

Last news from the ubuntu forums was that the rcs are already tested and that a final release would be sometime this week.
Though it is ati I think (and hope o so much) this will happen for sure.
Ati officially stated last month that they will be released in january.
