gnome2 panels and winex

Hi all, I play a few games on winex and I use gnome2... the thing is I have a top panel with menus and applets and stuff like that, but when I run a game with winex, the game doesnt cover the panel so when the game is loading (say CS or something) I have to move the mouse to the bottom of the screen and then the screen will be covered... but it's annoying!!! if I press ESC on counter-strike to go to the menu, it'll go back to the same situation and I can't see the bottom of the screen... is there anyway to make winex be on top of panels?

PS: weird thing is... it doesn't do the same with my bottom panel (i.e. it actually covers the bottom panel, but not the top one)...

I had a similar problem, but with the bottom panel, which was caused by metacity a few versions ago. Try switching to sawfish (if not already) and see if that helps.

In your winex config change 'Managed' to 'N'.
