konqueror slow browsing resolving host????

Can anyone point me to the files to check,

konq has suddenly started browsing slowly, very slowly, the only sites it opens fast are yahoo and google, everything else is like walking through treacle.

Mozilla and firefox are fine and work fast still but I like konq, I have my /conf.d/net set to

iface_eth0="dhcp"

and all was fine until a few days ago, I am bewildered. It used to be the other way around in Mandrake and that was due to ipv6?

is it kde 3.3 ?
If so, add

Code: Select all

KDE_NO_IPV6=1

to /etc/env.d/99kde-env.
This fixed it for me.

ya, did the trick man, but set to "true", 1 did not seem to work, LOL.

Now with your trick, my konqueror runs 10 times faster.
Or we could say it's 10 times less slow instead...
