Here is my drive setup.
hda 40gb
hda1 / raid(/dev/md0)
hdb 20gb
hdb1 /boot
hdb2 swap
hdb3 <EMPTY Where I want XP to go>
hde 40gb
hde1 / raid(/dev/md0)
Now when I fire up the XP install CD, it shows my disk setup as expected, and I see the unpartitioned space on what they call h: ??whatever?? so I say create partition here, here is where i want to install windows. And bamb problem I get a message saying it wants to install some files to what i translate as being /dev/hda so delete the partition to clear up some space and continue.
What suggestions does anyone have for not screwing over my finely tuned and longstanding gentoo install. I did the raid so I could basically have a virtual 80 gig disk. I am only taking up like 10 gigs of that ATM so I can move stuff around, but I would like to end up with something large for a virtual disk again, or not.. any suggestions to get this working ASAP?
Off topic: was this the right forum to post this question.. its sort of installing sort of gentoo sort of compter??
