I read the GLSA on the index ([ GLSA 200411-21 ] Samba: Remote Denial of Service) and I seem to be experiencing the issue _after_ upgrading to 3.0.8.
I upgraded this morning @ 12:50am EST and I've had it running all day then all of a sudden about an 2 hours ago my mem usage goes up to ~30% on 2 smbd processes and between 40 and 70 CPU usage; I restarted my server got an ssh connection going again waited about 2 mins and it started acting up again up again.
Did an rc-update del samba, restarted (i couldn't kill _any_ smbd or nmbd processes) and its been running for about an hour without problems.
Anyone know how I can check for DoS/CPU usage or other errors?
Nothing abnormal shows in my logs (samba or system).
