Are you looking for "Half-D1" as a preset? It might be easier to just enter the specs manually. (D1 of course means different things depending on NTSC vs. PAL, 1.0 vs 0.9 Pixel Aspect Ratio, and weather it's a strict CCIR601 or DV output.)

Uggh. You're right. Not the most dirrect interface for exporting to non standard frame sizes. I haven't the time to look into it immediately, but I would suggest your best bet for a solution would be to look into the DV Pipe export. This allows you to export the DV to a pipe where you can pick it up with another program/script. I'm sure transcode or something similar can interface with the pipe, resize the output and dump it to a file.
Not the easiest point and click solution, but it would be the fastest and most direct.

yeah, i already looked into it - but didnt understand anything about itFishB8 wrote: Not the easiest point and click solution, but it would be the fastest and most direct.
see, it does resize/scale if i say export to VCD or SVCD. - so it must be possible to pass the resolution somehow? no - transcode is not even emerged yet and (S)VCD does work anyway
