These are the packages that I would merge, in reverse order:

Help much appreciated. Feels weird not being able to update your system for over two weeks.

it seems that your portage is not in 'healty' condition

type the following, to regenrate it

emerge regen

or simply update it via web (emerge-webrsync)

I had tried emerge regen before, with no result. emerge-webrsync didn't do much good either. Thanks for the help, anyways.
Maybe there's something else I could try?

Check in /etc/make.conf
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS= ?
CHOST
CFLAGS

and also what kind of arch u're using
