GDM Problems

I just upgraded to GNOME 2.8 and now whenever I start GDM and try to login it fails. Here is the .xsession-error output

Any idea whats up? Also note that xdm works just fine.

Same here!

Been searching around the forums but didn't find a solution.
Should be easy enough though

I downgraded to the old Metacity (2.6.x) and it seems to work just fine withou t crashing. I also had to delete all the hidden gnome related dir' in ~.

Delete .Xauthority in your home directory.
