Shorewall + metalog

Emerging shorewall worked without perfectly and metalog is already running since earlier (using buffering). But when trying to start shorewall it complains about

Code: Select all

LOGFILE (/var/log/messages) does not exist!

and doesn't start. I've searched around on the forums and on google but not a single soul besides myself seem to have this problem. What is wrong?

try using another entry for the log file:

LOGFILE=/var/log/everything/current
