Quake3 Stops Accepting Keyboard Input

Hello, I have a bit of a strange error with quake3. While in game, my keyboard and mouse will stop accepting any input however the game continues to play. For instance, when the game "crashes" and I was running forward, the game will continue with me running forward, however I cannot move, make mouse clicks, or use keyboard combonations to get out of quake3. Thus I am left to reboot the machine.

What could be a possible cause of these symptoms and what would be the best way of alleviating them.

Were you messing with the console or config file? That can be done with the wait command I have discovered.

I have a couple of aliased macro binds that use the wait command in a fortress based mod I play. However, this occurs in single player too where I don't use the aliases. In the multiplayer mod it seems to occur at random and not when one of these bindings are hit.

I'll investigate the wait command possible error a little further though just to make sure.
