Hi all,

has someone ever played "the incredible machine" in good old dos (tm) times?
Is there any port, version, rewrite, ... for Linux?

I know of no Linux port (although havent really looked).. but do u have the Windows version? Ive been trying to find it but havent been able to

There was one I saw the other day which was a similar idea but with liquid. Can't remember if it was for windows or linux though.

EDIT: I'm thinking of Enigmo a Mac game ported to windows.

I think I've played at least three different versions, most recent being the windows one. It's really a great series, I'm remembering it is sierra's as well? They've made some of the masterpieces of pc gaming history... I wonder why they don't make that kind of games anymore, everything's just brainless fps shooters in 3D and ...

Yeah, they were by Sierra (the windows ones.)

You're right on the money, Flammie. Games like TIM died in the mid ninties, when every company was scrabling to make their "doom killer."

Bring back adventure games, too, damn it!

I was off looking for a linux version of this game because i have some fond memories playing this in elementary school lol and all i could find is a game called penguin machine that is based on the same concept but the development on it has stopped... im not sure if it's in a playable state or not.....
