love patches issues

This forum covers all Gentoo-related software not officially supported by Gentoo. Ebuilds/software posted here might harm the health and stability of your system(s), and are not supported by Gentoo developers. Bugs/errors caused by ebuilds from overlays.gentoo.org are covered by this forum, too.

love patches issues

well, I have tried installing a few different love-sources now. for 2.6.4-r2 I keep getting:

patch: pch.c:614: intuit_diff_type: Assertion `i0 != NONE' failed.
patch: pch.c:614: intuit_diff_type: Assertion `i0 != NONE' failed.

when it is patching. any ideas?

whats worse, is that for 2.6.2 and 2.6.5 the tar.gz's are corrupted, or at least bzip2 tells me so when unpacking them

and I can't emerge mm-sources because of an md5 checksum error. what is going on?

Don't patch, use an ebuild. It does the patching for you, and convienently puts itself into your portage tree for easy removal.

yeah, I did that. I haven't actually patched the kernel, just tried to emerge love-sources. Not sure what is going on here. On the other hand, I just got udev working Whoot!

now if I could only get a kernel w/ bootsplash in it, or any kernel at all actually. :wink:

The mm-sources bad digest issue is fixed. emerge sync and try that. Thiserror has come up for a few people. It's not love-sources related, but we don't have a solution yet.
Rationality is the recognition of the fact that nothing can alter the truth and nothing can take precedence over that act of perceiving it.

I've synced, deleted my distfiles, downloaded the latest love sources ebuild (2.6.6_rc1-r1), and I'm getting this error now - 2 weeks later.

What the hell is going on? I can't emerge mm-sources or love-sources for a long ass time now, and my md5 digests are either being false positive or are simply borked. It seems like half of my emerges are failing due to patch errors, yet I can find NOTHING wrong with my system. WTF is going on?
