Making a small Gentoo installation

Just wondering how one would go about making a gentoo install that could be stuck on one CD. Essentially a live CD for my own machine that would boot up, have alsa on it and run an audio app, and not include Xwindows or any graphic stuff. I assume I could do this with gentoo, but I'm not sure how one would make a live CD. Any tips or links would be appreciated.
