emerge of xfsprogs 2.6.0 fails with 3.2.3

trying to finnish a fresh install (stage1) of gentoo on my ibook G3 800 and i'm stuck with emerging xfsprogs

the emerge is failing and gives same errors as noticed there http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42181
(emerging other versions from portage doesn't help)

any idea how i could get through this ? i would really love to finnish this install once for all ... for example could i use a tbz2 intsead of compiling ? do i really need xfsprogs for booting on my linux ? could i get other sources not from portage ?

would be nice if someone could help a little ... this install is not finnished and the laptop is waiting ... all alone ... in the dark ... and it's cold ... very cold ....

I found his mistake in another forum. xfsprogs is not in anyway related to ext2/ext3. XFS is its own filesystem and should probably not be used by most home computers. XFS is for fibre and high-end scsi drives.
