A little while ago an update pulled in gentoo-sources-2.6.35-r4, which I build and tested, and now use daily. I removed the old kernel, 2.6.34-r6, but today an update pulled it back in again. emerge --depclean will remove it, but another emerge will just bring it back. Why is this happening? _________________ Enlightenment comes when you hear the sound of one hand slapping your forehead. |

gentoo-sources-2.6.35-r[x] was reverted back to ~arch because of some prominent bugs. I'm assuming you are using the stable branch of Gentoo. If you want to avoid the downgrade (and continue to use -35 series) just keyword gentoo-sources until this get's sorted out.
edit: znurt.org is great for checking out packages and stable/unstable ... here is gentoo-sources breakdown. _________________ Increasingly becoming a 2 channel audio nut! |

OK, thanks. I guess I'll go back to 2.6.34 then. _________________ Enlightenment comes when you hear the sound of one hand slapping your forehead. |
