Regarding Device Drivers

Hi all,
I am developing a Device Driver for a USB Device. I am currently working on Kernel Version 2.6.9-42 ....... OS is Cent OS 4.4
I am looking forward to developing the Driver in User Space.
Can any body provide me some Documentation regarding the Driver development in User Space
