I need some help on audio. Got a cheap sempron box, only to realize the sound card is one of those new "high-def audio" things. so my questions are
1. What drivers do I need to make it work? Does the good old ALSA still work?
2. Also XMMS has been removed... what is a good alternative? (seems that XMMS2 has yet to be included...)
thanks |

To determine if your sound card is supported by Alsa, look your sound card chipset up here:

As to your second question, Audacious is generally the replacement suggested in the forums for xmms. For a list of others, search the forums as there have been numerous threads about this exact question. _________________
