Gnomad2 works pretty good on my Zex Xtra (a little buggy). Anyway when I exit gnomad2 the mp3 player flashes the backlight and for a split second shows the interface but then remains at the "connected icon." All I do is unplug it and it disconnects, but is this issue fixable? This just seems dirty to unplug it without it removing the icon from its screen.

Before you unplug it, does show if it is still mounted? Open a terminal and do:
And see if the Zen is being unmounted automatically with gnomad. If it's not, you really ought to umount it (it's probably something like /dev/sda# or something) before unplugging it, or you could corrupt the filesystem on the Zen. |

usb 3-3: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 11
usb 3-3: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
that's all that dmesg reads. it is never actually mounted through this way. Is there a way to actually mount it, cause that would be a lot better.

Ah, that's right, if you could mount it, there'd be no reason for gnomad! Forgot about that. I haven't got a Zen to mount under linux, and haven't heard of it being done (I've got a DAP that is mountable, wasn't thinking about how the Zen's aren't).
Not sure how the hardware works, but I agree, just unplugging it does sound a bit sketchy. |
