I have the latest Audacious merged 1.2.2.
It plays mp3 files fast. It's not consistent though when I first emerged it, the problem was apparent.
But after rebooting the system it was fine, then the next reboot fassst again.
ANyone have a solution?
I searched and could not find anyone else with this issue.
Thanks |

It must be a timer issue of some sort. If you use alsa, you could try with and without RTC-support in your kernel (easy if you compiled it as a module). It's in Device Drivers -> Sound -> Advanced Linux Sound Architecture -> RTC Timer support. _________________ PKA Cuber

I was curious if that solved your problem since I am having the same problem after reinstalling gentoo. All alsa kernel settings are the same as before but audacious plays fast now (although I haven't setup surround sound yet, I guess I will start with that).
Also xine plays mp3 files just fine (leads me to highly doubt a timer). |
