Hi,
Lets say a user's password is to be changed in 2 days, and -W option is set to, say 7, in chage .
Code:
chage -E<date> -W7  <user name>
But the user does not log off for a week. In this case, the user is not warned about the impending password expiry. How do I ensure that the user is aware of the expiry in spite of his session being continuously active ?

Also, inspite of setting -W option in chage, I could not see any warning message when I tried to log on. Is there something else I must do so that the warning message is seen ?
