In KDE 3.5 I've noticed that if I try to create MP3s from an audio CD using Konqueror by dragging the files from the MP3 folder, it no longer works. There's no problem dragging the Ogg Vorbis files. This worked fine in previous installs of KDE.
Looking in ~/.xsession-errors I see things like this:
kio (KIOConnection): ERROR: Header read failed, errno=104
kio (KIOConnection): ERROR: Header has invalid size (-1)
kio (KIOConnection): ERROR: Header read failed, errno=104
kio (KIOConnection): ERROR: Header has invalid size (-1)
kio (KLauncher): ERROR: SlavePool: No communication with slave. |

Also - copying from the Flac folder works fine too, as does copying the plain wav file. It's only when copying from the MP3 folder it fails. |

Can anyone else say if they're getting the same problem in KDE 3.5? Stick in an audio CD, try dragging an MP3 file from the CD's folder. |
