I downloaded an encrypted WMV. (I didn't know it was encrypted until after I got it. Should have expected the encryption though since I had to pay for it. No - it's not porn.) I wanted to watch the half hour video clip badly enough that I went ahead and booted over to Windows for the first time in I don't even know how many months. The video plays back fine under Windows Media Player (of course). Is there anyway I can strip out the encryption so I can play it back in Totem?

Maybe WMP with wine?

Seriously, isn't there any player that could even play WMV's smoothly?

What's needed is a DRM plugin. Zoom player for Windows has it and it works. Don't know about GNU/Linux though unfortunately.
