whenever i move an xterm or other window in fluxbox while playing a movie, the mplayer freezes until i stop moving the window, any ideaS?

Its a fluxbox issue, and i think that you will not be able to fix it. I just change wm, now use fvwm and is better by far.

I think it was pointed out in some post in this forum that this freezing of mplayer happens only when you have NOT enabled display of content in windows while moving. The WM just freezes the entire screen and doesn't update it until after you have finished moving your window. This happens in most other WM's IMHO.

Maybe, I really did not try, but in flux also occurs with the sound in xmms.

i tried it. Putting
Code:
session.screen0.opaqueMove:     true

in ~/.fluxbox/init fixes the problem. For mplayer and xmms as well.
