|
|
Hi,
I would like to know how I can reset all my mixer settings. I'm using Alsa but i got no /etc/asound.state. And I'm not running the /etc/init.d/alsasound script. But the settings do not change with a reboot.
I'm running KDE 3.3, too.
Please excuse my bad english.
Thanks in advance!

Are you running arts? I think arts loads it's own (weird) mixer levels. From what you describe the alsa mixer levels absolutely should have been reset. Are you sure they are not the default levels before you start KDE? (assuming you have arts enabled) |

Yes, I'm using arts. I've got no possibility to test it now. But what if it's arts, how do i reset those settings? |

IIRC kmix controls the arts levels. I don't remember whether it controls loading/saving. |

on kcontrol you can define that, reset arts and all should be fine, kde has its own strange way of dealing with sound, then use alsactl for your options and alsamixer _________________ Flatland Life is a Choice !

Can't find anything regarding mixer-settings in kcontrol. Can you describe where the option is to find? |

if you use kde you must have kcontrol, then luch it and in the bottom you will find sound features, if you use gnome you have gnome-control-center and thers sound options to, and check alsamixer and aumix to . Try all of them if still no sound do a alsasound restart to se if there are any errors or even better do you have it on your kernel ?? _________________ Flatland Life is a Choice !
