Is there anyway I can just make my sound card play whatever is coming in through line-in directly to my speakers. I can record from line-in, but I want it to just play directly. I am using ALSA.
The reason I ask is because I have a tv tuner card that has a line out, and when I watch tv on it, I want it to play the sound.
Thanks. |

hello
I beleive all you have to do is to select the line-in input as your 'record' source in your mixer app (alsamixer, gnome audio mixer applet, whatever), make sure it's not muted and then push up the volume on the general/wave outputs (not sure, I'm not in front of the PC now).
I had a bt878 tv card in the past with the same kind of line-in audio setup and that's all I had to do to get sound woking. |

Did that, didn't work. I can record through line in just fine, I just can't make it stream it live while I watch tv. |
