So what would be some good software for burning both cd's and dvd's like Nero does ?? Can K3b pull this off ??
BTW... thanks for the info about the command line ...i'll try that too but I'm more interested in a GUI.
I saw where somebody was using Nero under Wine.... ?? I prefer to use a Linux program and not windows but Its's hard to beat the new nero 6... really nice. |

Code: | USE="dvdr -gnome -arts -oss X nvidia xinerama flac" emerge -av graveman | only required 4 packages. I seem to recall not being able to get k3b below 20 (or something like that). _________________

If you are new to Gentto (or even linux) use k3b. It's the easiest cd-burning software that I have ever seen :) |

K3b is the standard by which all other GUI burning programs are measured. I have found nothing that I have not been able to burn with it so far. |

a friend of mine is unsuccessful burning audio cds with k3b, on a 500MHz Celeron, 192MB RAM, probably due to timing issues (buffer underrun) at any speed
on this same box, graveman burns without problems
running Gentoo (of course), with xfce _________________ Unanswered Post Initiative | Search | FAQ

Once I started using graveman, I never liked anything else. It's in Portage and it's much leaner than K3B, if that is a concern. _________________ Ya Basta! |
