Hi,
Everytime I reboot my computer, alsa PCM gets muted again (Master volume is ok).
When I do a 'alsactl restore', PCM volume is ok again.
As you can see, alsasound is stared on boot:

What's your /etc/asound.state file look like? That's the file that Alsa checks against when it restarts, at least it is with the version of Alsa that I'm using... 1.0.4 I believe.
1.0.5 has just been added to the Portage tree. Perhaps it'd be worth a shot?

It's /etc/asound.state, but as 'alsactl restore' works, I doubt it would be the problem.

Did you follow the ALSA Gentoo linux guide? Specifically, did you put in the lines:
| Code: | # rc-update add alsasound boot
# /etc/init.d/alsasound start |
?
On top of that, did you install a .asoundrc file or an asound.conf file?
What lines did you add to /etc/modules.conf ? |

Just ran alsaconf again, rebooted and everything is ok again.
