Hi,
I have a PC with HP LaserJet 1100 printer on LPT port. How do I install it on Gentoo amd 64? With HPLIP?
Also I have a LPT to USB converter cable (I'd prefer the original LPT port since the old PC has a LPT port). _________________ You are not using computers if you are not using Gentoo UNIX. |

I have one of them printers. I am using the gutenprint driver. The printer is attached to the parallel port on my home server running CUPS, other computers on the home network discover it via Avahi. |

Oh, ok... gutenprint is fine. Does gutenprint supports duplex printing (printing on both sides) and how do I set it up for LaserJet 1100 on LPT and as default printer (having installed CUPS too)? _________________ You are not using computers if you are not using Gentoo UNIX. |
