Hi everybody,

this isn't really a support request, because my Netgear Ma101 runs fine with at76c503a (those drivers from berlios).
However, I just realized that the latest mm-sources feature "Atmel at76c50x chipset 802.11b support". Since I hate recompiling modules whenever I'm switching to a new kernel I gave it a try.
Now I can modprobe atmel, but I found this running dmesg:
Code:
request_module: failed /sbin/modprobe -- wlan0. error = 256

Needless to say, there is no wlan0 according to iwconfig. I'm also unable to upload a firmware using the atmel_fwl command.
Has anybody else already tried it? If so, please tell me about your level of success.

I remember reading that support was dropped for certain chipsets, perhaps yours was one of them. Which revision MA101 do you have?

it's revision B. They dropped intersil support last year, but this shouldn't be a problem in this case.
Maybe I'll find some information in the kernel changelogs.
