|
|
I have a problem with this tablet. A couple of years ago, I was using it with kernel 2.6.27 and this http://cs.ozerki.net/zap/wacom-bt/. Then I was not using it for some time but now I would like to get it running again. However, I found out that it is now supported via the official xf86-input-wacom driver and the support should be in-kernel too.
I compiled the in-kernel bluetooth modules (hidp) and I also compiled the Input -> Wacom module (even though it says that it is for USB tablets). After pairing the tablet with the PC, nothing new shows up under /dev/input. /var/log/messages says that it loaded the hidp module - and it IS loaded, with usage 1. But nothing under /dev/input? Of course, the X server sees nothing (since no new devices are available under /dev/input).
There is a lot of info about USB tablets on the official linuxwacom wiki http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/linuxwacom/index.php?title=Main_Page but nothing about the bluetooth models. Only that the Graphire is listed as "supported".
Does anyone have an idea what I should do? The old modified hidp driver I was using years ago does not compile any more and even though I could probably fix it, I would really rather run the official supported version since it should (at least in theory) work and I would not need to update it manually every time I recompile the kernel.

I finally solved it! Looks like you have to enable hid-wacom under "special HID drivers" in kernel config. Everything works like a charm now. |
