I have bought on Ebay the "Castelwood ORB USB smart cable", and expected to get access to my SCSI disks through a simple USB port.

Fact is, the connector is "way smaller" than any SCSI cable I have.

Where to find such cables/connectors/adapters ?

What is exactly ORB ?

Is this device really usable to read SCSI HDD ? I know it will be slow; i am just asking if I will be able to access data.

Every one knows Ebay. ORB seems some kind of prop standard.

They are not hotplug, and, can not be "easily extented with a cheap 2m cable".

I found some orb drives, not the smart cable. Also, you asked a question, so it is up to ou to deliver information.

In other words: how to make a 50p to any other format SCSI cable ? None of my adapters fit.

My cable looks like this http://www.pc-pitstop.com/scsi_ide_adapters/U2SCX.asp (is not exactly).

Manifacturer page not longer exist: http://www.ehmac.ca/mac-ipod-help-troubleshooting/11734-microtech-usb-scsi-software.html http://www.everythingusb.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=3089 all redirect to "actual wood website"; no more computing. The second one tells about my actual cable. I can not find the seller again.

The 68 pin high density (HD68) SCSI connector is typical of fast wide SCSI drives.
The SCA connector is a combined power/data connector for hot-swap drives.

I'm guessing you want something like this:

or
