stage1 vs stage3 install [solved]

I am sure this topic has been talked about but I can't seem to find it. Can you some tell me where to find the advantages of installing Gentoo in stage1 vs stage3. I know that stage3 is supported and stage1 is not but can you tell me the advantages of each?
