Hello,
after upgrading portage I can't do "emerge world"
Code: | emerge -pv world
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:
Calculating world dependencies -
emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "dev-php/mod_php".
(dependency required by "www-apps/gallery-2.0.4" [ebuild])
!!! Problem resolving dependencies for www-apps/gallery
!!! Depgraph creation failed. |
What can I do?
/etc/portage/package.mask is empty _________________ read U

Unmerge mod_php and emerge php (erm, can't remember which one of the two, one should have a newer version). |

dev-lang, but I believe that's not longer necessary, since if I remember the post on planet (or was that GWM ?), the old one has been removed from the tree (or only hard-masked?). |

Ok, so what's the final answer? Remove php and mod_php and then re-emerge them both? I have this issue on a production server and I need to minimize downtime & possible hiccups. If it's just a matter of reinstalling PHP, no problem.
Hey original poster - did you resolve this issue? Let us know what worked for you. Thanks! |

No, you can't reemerge them both, only "php" exists now (and it does the function of both). |
