Yep, couldn't find any hint on how to make wmaker appear in the gdm.
Tried adding a "wmaker.desktop" file in /usr/share/xsessions/ but I guess I wasn't too good at formatting it right -> WMaker didn't show up in gdm.
Anyone got an idea where I can find a detailed documentation on this? wmaker's site is still in construction when it comes to gdm-integration. Many thanks in advance!

I'll end up unmasking around 10 packages just to get entrance. Not quite sure if that`s worth it...
Doesn't anyone know how to start wmaker using gdm? |

Sorry, I really don't want to be a grammar nazi, but "can get wmaker to appear in gdm" means that you can get it. You meant "can't get wmaker to appear in gdm".
I couldn't in good conscience let you continue to butcher the English language _________________ screenshots

What version of gdm are you using?
In the last version i installed the path for "session start up" has moved to
"/usr/share/xsession"
Check if you have in this dir an entry for wmaker called "wmaker.desktop" with something like the following syntax:
Code: |
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=Openbox
Comment=This session logs you into Openbox
Exec=/etc/X11/Sessions/openbox
TryExec=openbox
# no icon yet, only the top three are currently used
Icon=
Type=Application
|
This is for openbox and it points to a script that call some apps and then call openbox. You can also directly specify the wmaker (or any other WM) executable.
