Ok, so I have redone the installation from Sakikis minimal image and followed Jarodivs steps mentioned here. .config was there and I got no errors.

However
*I can't run 'systemctl' and I have issues with installing it (or systemd)

I started with putting sakakis minimal version on card and all worked but I wanted to update my system. So i tried to follow these instruction.

The Kernel sources (sys-kernel/raspberrypi-sources) and even a compiled image (sys-kernel/raspberrypi-image) are available in Portage too:

There are no releases which contain those 73 commits. You would need to check out the unreleased branch to obtain them. You could also take the position that if those commits were important enough, then the developer would have made a new release, and therefore you can ignore them.

I have made an ebuild and emerged it. No errors, but I do not seem to be able to start the program. What have I missed?

Reading around it seems to have spotify on arm system is to install spotifyd and then a alternative client like spotify-qt , spotify-tui or ncspot .

Hi, I have been away from Gentoo for maybe 10 years and now I try Gentoo on Raspberry Pi4. I want to use it as streamer (or what it is called).

Yes I do. But I found a solution now. I don't know if I have done something wrong in the past or so but I commented out the last lines in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc and replaced it with "exec startxfce4":

Thank you for the tips, but that did not work either... As additional info I can confirm that when i log in "non-graphical" and type "startx" xfce4 is starting as it should.
