Hi

I was having the same trouble as you I read somewhere it is better to use the irxevent rather than compile straight into mythtv using the lirc flag. Really there is no big difference having to run this is there...

If I don't want compile gentoo as 64 bit what do I use is it CFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -pipe -O2"?

Hi

I want know if I can get this working with the vesafb-tng framebuffer driver 1920x1080i resolution?

I have an Nvidia 6600GT PCI-E card hooked up to my plasma TV, I basically want it to boot to this resolution for MYTHTV in X and the framebuffer?

Hi,

I'm trying to get mythtv to display at a resolution of 1024x576 but the radeon drivers won't let me clock to below 20Mhz the clock says valid ones are 20-400Mhz

There used to be an option that let you override the clock using this option so you could get display modes on a TV

ATI Problems Again

I am trying to setup a custom modeline of 1024x576 in the xorg.conf but i'm having trouble getting it to accept it my video card is a radeon 9700 pro and it handles the equivalent timings fine through windows.

I would be grateful if someone could take a look as its driving me up the wall ...

Yeah I forgot to mention mknod thing.

Anyway I now have this booting from my USB Flash Drive My \boot partition now resides on the drive an when I stick it in it boots to gentoo otherwise cr**py windows...so my drive probably looks like junk

I'm not too sure I understand what you mean 'bios raid' but my raid card is an adaptec 1210SA i think this uses the silliconimage 3112 chip

Hi, I want to implement this method of encrytion but with a few modifications.

(1). How would you modify this to also encrypt the swap partition and my home partition.

(2).Would it be possible to story the key file on a usb stick?

maybe a better method would be to get the USB stick to boot gentoo ...
